On behalf of the Kyle Trueblood staff, let me welcome you to our school.
Kyle Trueblood Elementary is a kindergarten through fifth grade school. KTE students enjoy the advantage of small class sizes. Our average student to teacher ratio of approximately 15 to 1 in our classrooms.
Besides the core classroom subjects, all students participate in vocal music and physical education daily. Students in fifth grade also have the option of beginning instrumental music.
Each week KTE students visit our school library for lessons and to check out books. Students in grades 2-5 take Accelerated Reader tests online as one way to monitor their reading comprehension. First grade students begin taking AR tests during the second semester.
The Kyle Trueblood staff is focused on helping our students achieve to their highest ability. Through the dedication of our staff and the support from parents, grandparents and community, our students are well on their way to becoming productive members of our world society.
Our school counselor visits each classroom weekly with various lessons for our students.
Kyle Trueblood is the base building for the school district's full time nurse.
Additional support for Kyle Trueblood students is available through our Title I program for reading and math. Our district is a member of the Sedgwick County Special Education Cooperative which provides interrelated services to our students.
