Conway Springs High School Special Education department consists of one Interrelated classroom. Additional support staff includes school psychologist, social worker, and special needs vocational coordinator.
The IR teacher and paraprofessional(s), serve students in 9th through 12th grades. The paraprofessional(s) work with students in both the Interrelated classroom and the general education inclusion classrooms. In the Interrelated classroom direct services are given in the areas of English, Math, Study Skills, and Life Skills. In the general education classrooms direct services are given in Biology, Physical Science, and American and World History.
The goals of the Interrelated classroom are to provide students the assistance needed to attain the students’ potential for learning within the general and interrelated classroom settings and to instruct in skills that will enable the student to be organized and responsible in their daily lives, now and in the future.
