Third Grade Reading and Math Night
February 6, from 6:00-7:00 pm, third grade parents are encouraged to attend with their child the reading and math night. This event provides parents the opportunity to see what skills and knowledge students need to know when taking the reading and math assessments this spring. Parents will gain an insight of the state assessment requirements and ways they can help their child be successful on the test. We hope you can attend.
Kindergarten Round-up Parent Meeting
Parents of 2012-13 kindergarten students will meet with Ms. Suppes and other school personnel Monday, March 5, at 7:00 p.m. At this informational meeting, parents will learn what their child's kindergarten day will be like and a little about the expectations for our kindergarten students. Winter Weather
School Cancellation
With the winter season upon us, there is the possibility of school being closed or closing in the middle of the school day. If the decision is made to cancel school or dismiss early, our School Messenger calling service will notify each family. Make sure the school office has your current phone numbers. Also, please make alternative arrangements for your child in case this happens. Your child needs to be aware of these plans.
Tune in to TV or radio stations if cancellation or dismissal time is in question. Channels KSNW TV3, KAKE TV10, KWCH TV12 and radio stations KFDI 101.3, 1070 am, KFTI 92.3, KFXJ 104.5, KICT 95.
PowerSchool
PowerSchool may be accessed on the homepage. This is our school administrative program where you can check your child’s grades, attendance, and meal balance. Please contact the KTE office if you need your login information.
Meal Accounts

USD 356 encourages support for all activities from our district patrons. Kindergarten through fifth grade students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in order to attend district activities. We encourage the students to watch and support the activities in a positive manner. Please be a conscientious and courteous supporter of all USD 356 activities. Thank you!
